This policy explains what personal information Ameer of Tonk collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We ask for as little as we can, and we do not sell it.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect the details you type into the checkout: your name, company name if you give one, email address, phone number and delivery address, along with any order notes. When you send an enquiry we collect the details on that form. Our servers also keep ordinary web logs, which include your IP address and the pages you requested.

We do not store your card or bank details. Online payments are handled by PayPal on their own systems; we receive only a confirmation reference.

Why we use it

We use your details to take, pack and deliver your order, to send you an order confirmation and any updates about it, to answer your enquiries, and to keep our own accounting records. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

Who else sees it

Only the people and services that need it: our delivery partner, our payment provider (PayPal), our email provider, and our web host. Each sees only what their part of the job requires. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Enquiries are kept while they are useful for answering you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Web logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

This site uses only the storage it needs to work — chiefly to remember what is in your shopping bag between pages. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to us and we will respond.
